Miami real estate moves fast, and most of what is written about it is either a sales pitch or a headline with no context. This blog is our attempt to do something more useful.

We are Carlos Olivares and Lina Rivera of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty. We work with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants across Miami, and this site is where we put what we know in one place: neighborhood guides, building-by-building pages, pre-construction projects, and live market data from the MLS.

What we hope to accomplish

  • Explain the market in plain English. When the county releases new numbers, we will tell you what they mean for someone buying or selling, not just repeat them.
  • Help you choose the right neighborhood and the right building. The building often matters more than the unit, and we will keep adding the details that are hard to find elsewhere.
  • Be honest about what we know. We only state a fact when we can back it up, and we say so when sources disagree or a number is missing. We would rather leave something out than guess.
  • Credit our sources. When we use someone else’s data, we link to it.
  • Speak for the buyer. On pre-construction in particular, our advice stays independent of any developer.

What you will find here

Market updates, guides to Miami’s neighborhoods, explainers on buying and selling, and the occasional straight answer to a question we hear often. We will also point you to the live tools on this site, including market reports by neighborhood, the building directory, and search.

If there is a question you would like us to answer, or a neighborhood or building you want covered, tell us. The best posts usually start with a client’s question.

Thank you for reading.
